Pong: AI challenger

CONTROL:

Press [SPACE] , or [CLICK] the button to start the game.

Whatever mode you choose:

Press [W] and [S] for moving up and moving down the paddle on the left side. 

If you choose two player mode:

Press [↑] and [↓] for moving up and moving down the paddle on the right side.

TIPS:

1. You can control the direction of the ball through moving your paddle, as long as you can catch the timing of hitting the ball. 
2. The speed of the ball will continually add up through every hit of the paddles.
3. Once one of the player fails to keep the ball from getting out of the screen on his/her side, then the opponent will get one score.
4. Get more score than the AI opponent who controls the paddle on the right side, proving that you are more powerful than it!

Update Notes:

1. Pong 2.0(5/13/2024):

• Added two player mode, you can choose the mode before the game starts.
• To fit in the change of the game mode, the score showing system also have been improved, including the logic of score counting. It means that if you change the game mode of the new game round, the scores of both players will be reset to 0.
• Improved AI opponent's movement, its paddle will not shiver anymore, also the movement of AI will be more smooth and human-like.
• Fixed bugs about the movement of the ball, including not correctly rebounds after hitting the wall on the top and the bottom of the screen, and also rebounds too many times when hitting the paddle.
• Modified the playing experience, including change the paddle's speed, ball's rebound force. Especially added the vertical rebound force when player hit the ball using the moving paddle (Because I want to encourage the player use this interesting technique to control the ball and win the game, it also can create different experience from other Pong games).

P.S.

This is the first time that I've tried to build a game with opponent that can automatically move with the control of computer. It's pretty interesting and I'm still trying to modify it in order to make it more like human player.
